About the event

As part of Heritage week, the StoryBank exhibition and events over the week share the heritage of the ‘make do and mend’ ethos of the Iveragh Peninsula, that is still within living memory. The stories of sustainable practices are gathered through specially produced StoryBanks, recycling the messages from the past in plastic bottles, from Kells to Castlecove.

Itinerant artists Seán O’Laoghaire and Anita Mckeown will also be taking their mobile story booth on tour by community bus to gather any stray stories of the region. Whether its butter making or net fixing, let them know, as they attempt to bank the past for tomorrow.
